Why do I need two apps?
Firstly, MoneyBadger makes payments easier. When you open the app, the camera starts right away. Just tap once to scan a QR code. Or say, “Hey Siri, open MoneyBadger,” and scan instantly. Other apps make you open the app first, then find the scanner.
Also, South Africa has many QR code providers, like Zapper, SnapScan, Scan to Pay, Pick n Pay, and others. Each uses its own format. Lightning wallets must update their software to read them. MoneyBadger integrates with these systems, so we can add support for new codes quickly. Other wallets, such as Blink, Aqua, Breez, and Blitz, update over time to handle these codes too. With MoneyBadger, you always get the newest QR scanner.
